OUR CERTIFICATION
The Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON) has officially accredited 02 Academy Lagos as an ARCON Examination Center.
02 Academy Lagos is the first advertising school to receive this designation. This means that the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON) will award the Professional Diploma in Advertising (PDA) certificate to candidates who pass the PDA exam at 02 Academy.
The academy charges a non-refundable fee of one hundred and fifty thousand naira (₦150,000) for candidates intending to take the ARCON exams, which are held twice a year. Please speak to an advisor for more information.

With an HND in Mass Communications from the Institute of Management and Technology, Enugu, he has mastered the craft of art direction. Alongside his very demanding career, he has a passion for helping and strengthening the weak. This passion drove him to create a youth empowerment NGO that is focused on putting a smile on the faces of orphans and the less privileged around us. Created in 2009, City Greeters seeks to clean the tears of some of the kids and teenage youths who do not have the same equal opportunities as some of us. This is a Non-Governmental Organization that is made up of a team of upwardly mobile male-female professionals who believe that the real essence of life is to live life to give life to other lives.
His strong faith and belief in others have always been his driving force and source of inspiration.
With a clear understanding of the importance of human capacity building and personal development he decided to go the extra mile to empower a larger scale of the Nigerian youth populace. He assembled a team of advertising industry experts to start a 16 weekend hands-on programme that is designed to help each student generate content and create a career path for themselves in the brand communication s world.
Since 2007 till date, this initiative has produced hundreds of admen working in most of the reputable ad agencies across Nigeria.
Ozone is a motivator, a teacher and a mentor to hundreds of Nigerian youth. He believes in creating ample opportunity to every willing heart not out of charity but because it is the common good that holds us together.
According to him, the real value of life is determined not just by the value we carry but by the value we can add in other lives.

Biodun Shobanjo
Chairman Troyka
Biodun Shobanjo is the Chairman of Troyka.
Born in Jabba, Kwara State, Mr. Biodun Shobanjo attended St. George’s Primary School and Odogbolu Grammar School for his primary and secondary education respectively. He was also at the College of the Institute of Marketing, Cookham, Maidenhead, England where he obtained the College’s Certificate in Marketing,
Mr. Shobanjo started his communication career in 1964 with the Nigerian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) as a Studio Manager. By the time he left seven years after, he had risen to become a Producer. Forty-three November ago in 1971, he joined Grant Advertising, an American/Nigerian-owned Advertising agency, as an Account Executive Trainee. Five years later, he was appointed as the Deputy Managing Director. He stayed on as the DMD and member of the Board until December 1979 before bowing out to co-found Insight Communications in January 1980.
Under his watch for 25 years, Insight grew from humble beginning to become one of the biggest players in the Nigerian advertising industry. He is today chairman of Troyka Holdings, Nigeria’s largest integrated marketing communications group. Today, aside from Insight Communications, other companies which make up the Troyka Holdings include The Quadrant Company, a Public Relations Consultancy, Halogen Security, asset protection and security Services Company, two Media Independents—-All Seasons Mediacom and Media Perspectives—and Optimum Exposure, Nigeria’s leading out-of-home advertising company, and Black Onyx Properties, a real estate company.
Mr. Shobanjo is a fellow of the Advertising Practitioners’ Council of Nigeria (APCON), fellow of the Commonwealth Journalists Association, and a past president of the Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria. He is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, London and a chartered member of the British Institute of Marketing, a member, of the International Advertising Association.
Mr. Biodun Shobanjo was adjudged Nigeria’s advertising man of the 20th century by Weekend Concord in 1999, and was honoured only on November 14, 2014 with the award of the Most Influential Personality in Advertising in 2014 by the African Development Magazine in Ghana. A quiet philanthropist, Mr. Shobanjo was inaugurated in 2010 as the first Ambassador-General of the mass medical mission of the National Cancer Prevention Programme. When the Diamonds Awards was established in 1992, Mr. Shobanjo served as a pioneer judge. He has also been a longstanding sponsor of the Radio Commercial of the Year (Consumer Goods). Today, Mr. Shobanjo is the recipient of the DAME Lifetime Achievement Award as worthy testament to a life of enterprise, commitment, and achievement in the marketing communications sector.

Dr. Lekan Fadolapo is the current Registrar/CEO at the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON), the umbrella body for the regulation of advertising practice and affiliate businesses in the country,
Dr. Olalekan Fadolapo grew up on the backstreet of Akala neighborhood in Mushin Lagos, the infamous haven for notorious street urchins. But thanks to providence, he was able to follow a less-troubled path and literally remake his world.
Today, he is a multi-disciplinarian with degrees in Economics, Business Administration, Marketing, Accountancy, and Legal Studies which he capped with a Ph.D. in Marketing Communications
He attended Birch Freeman High School, Surulere, Lagos for his O’Levels. He proceeded to Ogun State University for his first degree in Economics. Dr. Fadolapo holds three (3) Master’s degrees, MSc in Marketing, Master in Business Administration (MBA), and Master in Legal Studies (MILS) from Babcock University, Ilisan, Ogun State, the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Ondo State and Lagos State University, Ojo, Lagos State respectively. He also holds a Ph.D. Degree in Marketing with a specialization in Marketing Communications from Babcock University, Illisan Remo, Ogun State.
Dr. Fadolapo is a Registered Advertising Practitioner, a Chartered Accountant, and a Fellow of ICAN. He was a member of the immediate past Governing Council of APCON and also served in several capacities within the Council and other Advertising Industry Fora. He was the past Executive Director/CEO of the Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria (AAAN)
NNENNA ONYEWUCHI
Nnenna @bananaleafangel has been in the communications and marketing game for 20 years. Nnenna began in McCann’s New Business department, managing business development activities for the New York office and coordinating offices across the global network for worldwide pitches. After two years, she moved into the Strategic Planning department, where she rose to the position of Vice President. At McCann, Nnenna worked on everything from video games and credit cards to financial services and permanent markers.
While at McCann, Nnenna helped conceive Tag Ideation, a lifestyle marketing practice group. At Tag Ideation, she co-designed a proprietary branding model, developed a suite of non-traditional research tools and helped develop not just communications, but solutions spanning new beers to coffee table books.
Nnenna returned to Nigeria in 2004 and worked in experiential marketing, production and pay-tv before finding her way back to advertising in 2007. She was Director of Business Development and Strategy at Chris Parkes Marketing Solutions, an experiential marketing company before moving on a position at TBWA\Concept. After TBWA/Concept, she worked for at Small World Media, a content development company, and HiTV, a pay TV operator. She joined ZK Advertising in 2007.
In her time at ZK, she developed comprehensive strategies for clients including Zain, Dangote and several PZ Cussons brands. During her second year at ZK, Nnenna also took on the role of Creative Director, developing award-winning advertising for a variety of clients.
Since coming home, Nnenna has worked on broad range of brands including Standard Chartered, MTV, Coca-Cola, Celtel, Motorola, Microsoft, Paga, FCMB, UNICEF, Oando, Wapic Insurance, Blackberry, Jumia, FirstBank and MTN.
In 2011, Nnenna and her partners took over the agency, rebranding it as Yellow Brick Road @ybrlagos_ She is also a founding partner in Blackbox, a strategic marketing consultancy.
Nnenna sits on several boards and is the Chairman of the Board of West African Vocational Education, a non-profit committed to ending youth unemployment in Nigeria.
Her favourite thing about her job is that she can find herself working on projects for credit cards, powdered milk and gender equality all in one day. Nnenna loves to read and secretly hopes to one day wake up in a Gabriel Garcia Marques novel

As X3M Ideas’ Chief Executive Officer/Chief Creativity Officer, Steve brings to the agency his significant experience in building brands across industries. Steve’s passion for creativity matches his love for challenges. He is a writer, consumer behaviour analyst, brand development expert and motivational speaker. Steve nurtures youths to be self-reliant that is why individuals and groups always invite him to speak to young Nigerians at many seminars and workshops.
He started his advertising career at MC&A Saatchi & Saatchi in 1995, before he later joined Prima Garnet Ogilvy and 141 Worldwide where he worked till early 2012, bringing his experience in the industry to a cumulative 20 years. In 2012, he took the bold step and left 141 worldwide to start his own advertising agency X3M Ideas Limited.
Steve holds a bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts from the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna State, Nigeria. He is an Associate member of the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON). Steve is currently the Vice-Chairman for Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria (AAAN) LAIF Board, and also the current Chairman, Public Relations Committee of the Nigerian-American Chamber of Commerce.

LANRE ADISA
Lanre @lanreadisa started his career in 1990 as a Trainee Copywriter at MC&A: Saatchi & Saatchi, Lagos, Nigeria. He has since then worked in different capacities as a creative in some of Nigeria’s top agencies. He was at Insight/Grey, Nigeria’s biggest agency, where he worked for six years, leaving in 2003 as an Associate Creative Director. From there he moved to TBWA\Concept as a Creative Director. He left TBWA\Concept as an Executive Creative Director in 2008 to found Noah’s Ark.
In the ten years of its existence, Noah’s Ark @noahsarkcomm has established itself as a leading new generation agency. In 2015, Noah’s Ark ended the year on top of the Lagos Advertising & Ideas Festival (LAIF) Awards @thelaifawards table with a Grand Prix. The agency repeated the same feat in 2017, making it the only agency in Nigeria to have won the Festival Grand Prix back-to-back.
At the Loeries @loerieawards Festival in 2016, Noah’s Ark emerged the #1 agency in Sub-Saharan Africa (Outside of SA). On the heel of its 10th anniversary in 2018, Noah’s Ark was crowned the Agency of the Year at the African Cristal Festival in Marrakech, Morocco.
In a career spanning over 25 years, he has created outstanding work for some of the most notable brands Nigeria such as Indomie Noodles, Airtel, MTN, Peak Milk, Three Crowns, Virgin Atlantic and GOtv among others.
Driven by a vision to put Nigeria on the world map of advertising, Lanre is actively involved in the Nigerian creative community with a special passion for inspiring and grooming the next generation. He was a pioneer member of the Management Board of the Lagos Advertising & Ideas Festival (LAIF). He has served on the juries of the African Cristal Festival and African Ciclope Festival. He served at different times as President of jury for the Young Lions Nigeria. He was the pioneer President of the jury for the Heritage category of the Pitcher Awards. Most recently, he was appointed a member of the jury at the Cannes Lions Festival, a first for West Africa.
In addition to Noah’s Ark, he has also founded other related marketing communications agencies to offer clients more robust integrated services. A recipient of various awards, a prolific speaker and trainer, Temitope holds a Master’s degree in International Management from the University of Liverpool. She served as Dean of Future Creative Leadership Academy, 2021 and as the 1st African Judge on the prestigious Daina Awards 2021. She has past recognitions as a Leading Woman in corporate Nigeria by Leading Ladies Africa and Brand communicator.
She is a member of WISCAR & The LightHouse Network, both organizations focused on empowering women. She serves on the board of SAMI, a Sickle Cell NGO and holds a volunteer role as Global Director, Most Influential People of African Descent (MIPAD) in support of the United Nations International Decade for People of African Descent. Also known as “creative nerd” is a prolific visual storyteller. His passion for Digital/visual art propelled him beyond basic graphics based computer software and in addition he learnt photography, film making, 2D animation and 3D modeling. A rare feature most art directors can only covet, Uche is also creative with words and has a firm grasp of brand strategy. His never-back-down personality has him doing what otherwise would have been labelled “impossible”. His best moments are when he achieves amazing results from underdog scenarios.
Uche is passionate about problem-solving, impacting knowledge, visual storytelling, travelling and honestly, anything creative.

Living a life of Impact and driven by problem-solving, Creative nerd joined in the vision to restore hope to six million Nigerian youths through capacity building bringing all his acquired knowledge and skills to the table.
